Another two weeks and another update to Wine. The Slackware64 13.37 package for Wine 1.3.33 is available from the packages website, and the build script can be found in the subversion repository.

A new version of LibreOffice, 3.4.4.2, was released a few days ago. I’ve built a binary package from source for Slackware64 13.37. Get the package from here and the SlackBuild (for those who want to build from source) from here.

I’m a few days late on this one, but a new version of Wireshark has been released. This version addresses a few security issues, so all users should upgrade. Read the release notes for more information. Look in the usual places for downloads: Binaries and SlackBuilds

Due to time constraints I haven’t kept up on the latest Wine development releases. I’ve addressed that today with the release of a Slackware64 13.37 package for Wine version 1.3.32. As per usual, binary packages are available from the packages website and SlackBuilds from the SVN repo.

The Brewtarget developers have released version 1.2.4 of this fantastic, open source, cross-platform software aimed at home brewers. libtxc_dxtn is an external library for enabling S3TC (S3 Texture Compression) support for Mesa drivers. As there are patent concerns surrounding S3TC, this support is not included in upstream Mesa. Yesterday the LibreOffice team released version 3.4.2, which is the version they claim is ready for enterprise use. 3.4.2.3 is what was released as version 3.4.2. Grab the binary package for Slackware64 13.37 from the packages website, or the SlackBuild script from the SVN site.
