The Brewtarget developers have released version 1.2.4 of this fantastic, open source, cross-platform software aimed at home brewers. I use it to maintain my recipes, and I’ve found it to be nearly indispensable in my brewing hobby. All home brewers should check out Brewtarget.

The binary package for Slackware64 13.37 can be downloaded from the packages website, and the SlackBuild script can be retrieved from the Subversion repository (for those who want to build from source).

I keep track of my beer recipes and batches using a paper beer log, like most home brewers do. Sometimes this just is not enough, so I set out to find some software that can do this for me. One that I found is Brewtarget, an open source QT-based application. It stores its data using BeerXML, making data compatible with other software using the same open standard.

Grab a binary package from the package website or the build script from the SVN repository. Happy brewing!
