Asunder and RipperX Packages for Slackware 13.1 Added

It’s about time I re-rip my entire CD collection. Currently all of my music is sitting on my file server in the Ogg Vorbis format, and has been like that for many years. However, I’d like to backup my CD collection to a lossless format such as FLAC. That way I have an archive with the same quality as the original sources, and I can transcode it from there however I see fit. This is a pretty big job, so I’ll continue to put it off. ;)

In my search for cdparanoia and FLAC graphical frontends I ran across Asunder. This is a nice, lightweight, GTK application with limited dependencies. It does the job of ripping CDs to FLAC files. However, it seems to be missing the ability to include a genre macro in the output path, which is a bit of a pain in my opinion. In my looking I also ran across ripperX, which is a program I tried out many years ago. It appears that development for ripperX has started up again, although it still looks and works like it did way back when. It, too, seems to be missing the ability to include a genre macro for the output directory. I guess I’ll stick with KAudioCreator for the time being, as it allows much greater flexibility for file and path names. Still, I built Asunder and ripperX packages for Slackware64 13.1, so I’m making them available for download.

id3lib-3.8.3 (Added as a dependency for ripperX)
